We would be happy to leave, but Oklahoma is sucking too hard for us to escape into the Gulf.

Possibly the longest dormant thread ever on C & F?

Post by Tom Dowling »

Holy Moley!! Talk about the dead coming back to life. The gap betwen the June 29, 2004 and August 22, 2005 entries on this thread might be a C & F record! I saw an entry of mine on page 1 of the thread--not that funny, in retrospect--mistakenly thought it was from June, 2005, had no immediate recollection of posting it, and then wondered if my identity (or one of my personalities) had been co-opted. Somehow, having no recollection of posting it over a year ago is a bit less disconcerting....

In any event, is this a C & F record for a dormant thread coming back to life?

There is a difference between death and dormancy. Every topic that has not been locked is still alive. The fact that sleeping dogs are lying does not mean that burglars are at rest also. What I mean is: the dormancy of a discussion is not an indication that the issues are at rest.

If you are looking for the topics that have been dormant longest you should go to page 1 of the index. You might even find an early topic with a discussion about how many tone holes does your tin whistle have, mine's got 6, one more than when I last counted. And so on and so forth ......

Anyway, what's your offer for my Bb Generation? Hmmm ?

You don't have to leave - just stop sending us presidents. All three of them have been - let's just say, problematic.

The Bb Gen. is withdrawn from sale. I gave it to the dog next door to tweak it. I have now learnt my lesson with dogs. For life!

Withdrawn? One should never give up!! And I think your original price was fair, but you never did respond to my offer of a swap for my two $1,000 Gen C whistles. Maybe you just needed this time to think the offer over.

this is yet one more example of the sort of totally true statement that readers will find in a talasiga topic .....
My topics are very well read globally and they always encourage relative truisms.

I've been saving my Pogs for at least a year and a half on the promise that you were still collecting them and would trade me for that Gen Bb of my dreams ... now I'm going to miss out on the best whistle ever! Just for that, I'm blowing your secret identity... HEY! it's not really 'talasiga'... it's 'age is alot'! There! Sorry, but you had that coming for teasing me so! :swear:
