Beware the cat. This is certainly part of Dr. Evil's devious plan. Check to make sure that "Luna" is not actually an evil cyborg cat, sent in place of Luna to do Dr. Evil's bidding.

Wow, what a happy day.

Chris, you are a talented and nice person, but in this particular case, it's so not funny (I was really hurting this weekend!). And anyway, Dr. Evil's cat was a puffy thing in the first movie and a Sphynx (a hairless cat) in the second movie, never a Tonk.

I saw a program on TV tonight about a woman who had someone use a bloodhound to track down her cat. I logged on to tell you about it and then read the good news! I'm so happy you have found Luna and your heartache is over! We have a little Yorkshire Terrier and about a year ago when she was sick the vet said she needed an operation right away if we hoped to save her. We drove 70 miles to an animal hospital where they could do the operation and I would have sold my house, my whistles, my car or anything if need be to save that little dog. They did save her and I was the happiest person in the world. When the people or the pets we love are in trouble it sure brings everything else to a halt and lets us know what is most important in life.

Well I think we may all be in the mood to play some very happy jigs and reels tonight and that is what I am going to do!

Best wishes, Tom

Yay hooray for Luna!

I guess you won't be letting her out anymore, which is good news. I used to work in a cats only veterinary clinic, and you wouldn't believe the terrible things I saw there... the average outdoor or even indoor/outdoor cat has a lifespan ten years shorter than an indoor cat. O_o really alarming.

Give her a big squeeze for me!

Wow! Ten years short life span?? I am not going to let them out anymore except on a leash. They'll just have to deal.

Tom, I'm so glad the operation saved your little dog. You're right about something like this putting priorities in order.

Yes, let's all play happy tunes now!

Luna is acting a little weird (spooked, kissing her sister and then snapping at her, etc.), but I think she'll get better with time.

Teddy only goes out on a leash. We've had him for 4 years. Our previous cat, Puddie, lived to be 18 and only was allowed out on a leash. They didn't argue about it. They love going out and that's the deal. No leash, no going out.

Use a harness on them though and keep an eye on them. Kitties don't seem to have a reverse gear and they sometimes get their leashes tangled up around things. With a harness they won't hurt themselves but a collar can pose a choking problem. We attach the leash to a 10 pound anchor so it can be moved about the yard. This works great. You can follow the sunshine this way. I'm sure you know how cats love to bask in the sun.

The ten pound anchor is usually sufficent except when poodles are concerned. Puddie really disliked poodles. On a number of occassions I had to catch her as she pulled that achor down the street trying to get at poodles being walked by.

Mary...that's funny about Puddie and the poodles. And I am impressed with the fact that Puddie lived to be 18! Luna and Sola seem to be content inside today. Sola asked once to go out, and I said no, so she dropped it. I am a happy chick today.

JessieK, glad to hear your cat is safe and sound

Geesh these "cute kitty" threads generate a lot of traffic (although not as much as the Andrea Corr thread I might add).

Well, it's hard not to get involved. =) I have three big kitties that are going to have to get used to their new sister, an 8 week old Black Lab puppy starting Dec. 1st. =) Wish me luck! O_o I don't expect I'll be getting much sleep for a few weeks.

Hooray for pets, and hooray for Luna-cat. Back home where she belongs. =)

Hey whats up yall? this is nicole caryns big sis again just wanted to say so glad to hear your kitty is back.
Nicole

PS (This is Caryn now) Jessie, I am so happy Luna is back! And you know, my sister is really starting to scare me  One thing you can do for indoor cats that want to go out doors, is get a big cage to put them in outdoors. This might sound cruel but in truth, my cats have a 3 by 6 by 5 cage and they love it! This way you don't have to worry about the leash getting caught and choking the poor cat. Or getting out of the leash. So well, my two cents!

Caryn

Since this toppic of cats is still on, perahaps someone could answer a question about such creatures.

This was found under our porch back in Aug. Wendy told me about it, and I said it must be a shadow. So we call her that.

Here's the question; Since this cat has thumbs, do you think she could learn to play the whistle? what key would be a good cat size?
