Mine is a warning not to over do it. Now I look funny when I'm not playing.
Need to grow a beard.
The screen name, I just thought was really cool sounding.

My Avatar is a celtic design of a highland bagpiper that was designed for me as a gift, in return for my bagpiping services.

Ever since I was a kid I was enthralled by the boy who declared the king was naked. I try not to be that boy, but it really is part of my nature to this day. Bart is that kind of kid...the kid in this 56 year old man.

Mine is a log cabin thing made of whistles. I went through a period of extreme WHoA, and those are only D whistles. :D

Ever since I was a kid I loved this little rabbit (she's called Nijntje in Dutch) and when looking for an avatar I came across this story where Nijntje's granddad made a whistle for her and as a reward she learns a tune and plays it for him.

Ain't that nice :)

So I couldn't resist...

My dog Lucy, soon to be supplanted by my other dog Sass (Sass is after all Alpha female and none too pleased with my current choice of Avatar). Incidentally, they don't like D whistles but seem to enjoy the Bb.

The red cross on the flag of England is upright. The cross on the flag of Alabama is diagonal.

Mine is fairly self evident, at least to the US folks--I live in the Boston area and I'm a fan of the Red Sox. This letter B appears on the players' baseball caps.

You are correct, the bars are placed diagonally on the Alabama flag. They are the crimson cross of St. Andrew on a field of white. Except for the color difference the Alabama flag looks like the Scottish flag.
