Ian Melrose and Noel Duggan play Lowdens. Of course, they could probably make my Peavey sound good, too!

OK...but no snide remarks about the company my whistles are keeping, mind!

<IMG SRC="http://images.snapfish.com/336389872323 ... 4345ot1lsi">

From Left to Right:

1) My first whistle...a brass Generation Eb, circa 1975 or so

2) A nickel Generation Eb, circa 1985, which I bought when I thought the brass one had been lost in a move.

3) Cillian O Briain "improved"

4) MEG D

5) MEG C

6) Susato Dublin D

7) Elfsong Coppertone, C tube in "Starry Night"

8 ) The D tube for the Elfsong, in "Emerald Gold"

9) Stock Feadog (purchased recently when I had time on my hands and nothing at hand to play)

10) Yamaha Soprano Recorder, circa 1975

11) Consort Soprano Recorder (from Israel), in walnut, circa 1977

12) Yamaha Alto Recorder (which I am still learning to play)

Hmm, no scanner, or website, so here is my (quite small in comparison)list:
Green Sweetone in C
Black with icky diamonds Clake's Original in D
Summer's Night with Stars C/D Sweetone
1 Fender Guitar
A Piano (no idea who made it, but it has the perfect sound that you can only get with old pianos)
and soon to be added-a bodhran...any suggestions as to what make? Not too expensive, as I am a student!

I can't resist this topic when it comes up. Here's my deconstructive interpretation of "Wind".

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Eric, that is beautiful, man!

No pics for me, either, but here's what I'm playing with:

Generation Brass G, F.

Gen. Silver Eb, Bb.

Clarke D (a new one, and no, it isn't the same) and C.

Hoover pvc high D, B, Bb, Ski pole low G (bright purple, mind you!), and the "CRD" tm (curtain rod low D).

Dixon low D.

A nice bamboo whistle/recorder hybrid in A.

Flutes: Spirit Song Bamboo G.
Artley (yes, I admit it!) Boehm.

Drums: Halpin 19" tunable; maple with oak trim.
Home-made clay and deerskin hand drum.

Horn:
Besson Model 700 Euphonium, laquer brass with compensating system and "down under" forth valve.

Guitars:
Ibanez Dreadnought Guitar, c. 1980, spruce top and maple sides. I think. It sounds good, whatever it's made of.

Martin Backpacker guitar, mahogony/tonewood.

Piano:
Old mahogony spinnet piano; recently inherited. It's currently in storage so I can't tell you the brand, but it has real ivory keys, it's in great shape, and it sounds beautiful.

Bows:
Saxon American traditional recurve, 65#@28". Thumps a very soft G# when tuned correctly for 11/32 cedar arrows and Zwicky black diamond broadheads.

Solid hickory unbacked longbow, currently under construction.

A new member of my family arrived in the mail today....

Image

A 16 inch tunable Seamus O'Kane drum, courtesy of my parents... it's my only Christmas present, as far as I know, and yes I know it's not quite Christmas yet, but my parents didn't see any sense in keeping it from me, especially since I was playing at the dance tonight.

Thank goodness for parents!

If I didn't know any better Erik, I'd say
that small rectangular object near the bottom of yer "collection" was a turkey call.

You can see a big pic of the same kinda thing here:
http://www.larkinam.com/MenComNet/Busin ... knet/Winds about 1/3 down the page.

You can also get 'em as ticket redemption prize at dave and busters.

Methinks you're right Greg...I had the wooden turkey box call in mind. Good eye on your part.
