Tell us something.: I caught the trad bug listening to Liam O'Flynn. Started on whistle, then moved to pipes. Tricky Basmatis, but I love 'em.

FOR SALE: Reviol Low D/C set (with optional case)

I bought this set (without the case) from a fellow Chiffer, but they haven't gotten very much play (thanks to a Howard that gets most of my attention), so I'm reluctantly passing them on.

The Reviol is a lovely whistle, with a solid tone, good intonation, perfect tuning, and medium backpressure. It is made from anodised aluminum alloy, with a hand-hammered fipple. The finished whistle is then glass-bead blasted to give it a nice non-slip texture.

It comes with a Low C tube, and (obviously) both are tunable. The distance between the holes on the Low D are approximate to those on a Kerry. Those with smaller hands will probably find the finger stretch on the Low C difficult (I do).

I only bought them less than 2 months ago, so I'm asking $240 USD. With the aluminum case, I'm asking $260 USD.

PM me if you're interested and I'll work out postage.

MP3 Audio clips:
My Darling Asleep - 0.21MB
The Earl's Chair - 0.42MB
Eddie Kelly's #2 - 0.20MB
The Kilfenora - 0.41MB
The Parting - 0.38MB
*Note all of these clips (except for "The Kilfenora") have a *tiny* amount of reverb added to the recording. If you listen to "The Kilfenora", you'll see that the room has enough natural reverb anyway. Also, I recorded a harmony part for "The Parting" – the Reviol does not magically turn into two whistles playing independantly!

Dang... I only just bought a Reviol low D yesterday... I totally would have bought this from you.

Would you consider selling just the C body and case?
