Low whistle sound
Low whistle sound
Hi,
I'm new at this board.
I'm a musician and flutemaker.
I like the "slow aspect" of fluteplaying,
Could you give me some help in finding soundsamples
in the web from good low whistle players ?
I would apreciate it.
Thankks in advance,
Alf

Hi Alf, Cormac Breathnach is one of the finest I have heard.
He has some fine samples here: http://www.cormacbreatnach.com/
Another whistle player I really like is Eoin Duignan listen here:

Tell me now Alf, are you going to be making whistles?

Thanks Tony,
great samples.
It gives me a good input to listen to this.
I'm crafting various kinds of flutes.
(eg. "Forestflute", double chambered "Chorusflute" and others).
Right now, i'm at modifying the mouthpiece of a D-whistle,
that's why i am asking for soundsamples.
many of them have a kind of "harsh" sound (i know, this is common for ITM but i like it mellow as well).

- Tell us something.: I play the first flute Jon Cochran ever made but haven't been very active on the board the last 9-10 years. Life happens I guess...I owned a keyed M&E flute for a while and I kind of miss it.
