I'm with you on that. . .Burke WBB soprano D. Sweet on airs, snappy response on jigs and reels, medium loud, primary session key. The perfect whistle.

Hmmm...not my favorite whistle, but perhaps the most dependable, durable, and versatile whistle in my stable: Dixon sop D w/brass tuning slide.

Rose high D blackwood. Simply the best, as Tina Turner would say.

For all intents and purposes, I have five whistles. None of which are super great. But on thought, I don't want to narrow it down to just one, because I need more than that to play in various keys. And sometimes I want a different sound for a different tune. I might want a Clarke sound on one, and a brass sound on another.

Any one previously owned by Andrea Corrs!!
Being a beginner I dont know that many brands..... but in my imagination I would like a beautiful copper one with a nice patina and doesnt taste yucky.... maybe the fipple is laminated and the body is exposed. And probably it is a low whistle, they sound sexy! And just a little battered so it looks well-loved.
And of course it sounds marvellous!

There are several I love, but going on only those I own and limited to only one, it'd be my Silkstone PVC in Green.
