I'm new & in awe

Post by ChaoticGemini »

I have been spending way too much time reading this forum and website over the past week. (I'm still reading old posts) :boggle:

All of you seem like such fun and knowledge people. I thought I'd finally join the list and say thanks to all of you.

So far, I have enjoyed the clips & snips page the most. It is allowing me to hear what several whistles sound like. I'm looking to get a new one, and I know what I like, but I had no clue what whistles would give me that sound. So far, I have 2 in mind just from hearing the clips. :)

Thank you again,
Tina

Oh no, I hope I'm not about to turn my thread too much off topic :D

Amar: Is the picture the new poster test? Just in case, I'll guess you're the one third from the left.

Claudine: It won't be for chirstmas, I've already gotten my presents for that. It was new kites (one of many addictions) and my family couldn't wait to see me fly them. Now, for that free marzipan. . .I haven't had any in years. Now I'll be thinking about it, and I love that stuff.

Anyway, I can get get the new whistle whenever I finally decided which one I want. I think it will end up being a low D. From listening to sound clips, I have found the sound of the Reyburn or Howard most pleasing. I'm still looking at other possibilities, though.

Now I know what kind of doctor Amar really is!

Welcome ChaoticGemini. We not only can answer your whistle questions but math, physics, psychology, philosophy, podiatry, politics and history questions as well. We even have a resident proctologist apparently.

That's not a design for a new whistle rack is it?

I just can't resist. If I were to add a caption to that pic it would have to say, "So when is Bubba supposed to be here?"

Welcome Gemini!
One of the many mysteries of Chiff and Fipple is how a welcome thread comes to include the words "bodily functions"... with a picture to boot!
Have fun!
