Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I really like the trad folk-rock that they do but with the exception of the album "The Half Tail" I don't much care for their original material.

Cheers,

Hey! I never thought about that until Stacey used this word in this unique way...
Was "heathen" originally a reference to people from the heath (very Scottish); in other words, ignorant people from the "sticks", the "backwater", or other such remote places?
Probably not, but it sounds good especially since it came from Old English and they had a thing against the Scots...

Sorry, didn't mean to digress...

That'd be the one.
I am a huge fan of theirs. I think this story will show how much: I am subscribed to Napster (which is now legal), and I started listening to wolfstone there. I now listen to so much wolfstone that their No. 1 and 2 most listened to tracks on napster are almost always the same as my current favorites.
Montana: That Heatheins thory of yours is interesting. I will look into it.
Also, as far as i can tell, there has never been a thread on this website that did not degress, so feel free to say whatever you like (within certain limits of corse  ).

There's and old Irish saying that says pretty much anything you want it to.

Love Wolfstone. I saw them in concert about a year and a half ago at a small park consert in Oregon. They absolutely rocked.

Wolfstone are pretty well known here in Scotland and elsewhere I'm sure. They are or were produced by Phil Cunningham (surely you know who he is!?) and I think it's him who plays whistle on some of their albums - and damn well too.

I was cruising the music store last night and came across the Thistle and Shamrock Christmas Ceilidh CD. Wolfstone was one of the featured artists. Phil Cunningham is also on it. Maybe I'll have to get it...
Since it came out in 2000, I know I'm a little late in finding it.
