Anyone wanting to sell their Sindt(s)?

Post by picardy third »

Hello Sindt owners!

I'm looking for a C (and possibly any other non-D Sindts.Eb would be nice). I have no problem placing an order with Mr. Sindt. I'm glad to give him my business. However, one thing I love about the whistle community is how we recycle our whistle-sell old non used ones, trade for a different sound. Plus, I don't want to have to wait!

Any way, if anyone would like to sell me a Sindt C, please let me know!

Thanks!

This will be of no use except to fuel your search, but I acquired my Sindt C almost unintentionally and now have this to say:

Who would ever give up a Sindt!!

Oh, but now that I look at your message, I see that you want a NON-D, and the one on Ebay is a D.

Has a good C natural either half hole or crossfingered
Hmmm, if that whistle has a good crossfingered CNat, it's a collection whistle!

I think that the current waiting time for Sindts is eight months plus-I say 'think' and not 'know' because I ordered a Sindt 'C' at the start of the year, and shortly after changed my e-mail address, and I don't think that I let John (and his wife, Ann, who attends to e-mails,etc) know!
I am a great fan of John's work-I have D,Eb(esp. fine!),and a A/Bb set.
Some people have said that they think that his whistles are a little too 'clean' and 'characterless'-I think that they play as 'good'
traditional 'Generation' type whistles.
I think that whatever your taste in whistle, you could not deny that John's work is of the highest order of craftsmanship-I'm certainly proud to own examples his instruments, and would never part with them.NUFF SAID! :D

Put your order in and wait; IMHO, the C is the class of the Sindt line.

I gave up a couple awhile back (and from a writer, I'd expect a question mark at the end of that question:). I liked the sound of the D, but I really didn't like the weight of the head. I don't mind a heavy whistle, but having all the weight at the head just didn't suit me. The A was way too pure and sweet sounding for my taste.

Oh, it's definitely"plus." I ordered a D last March, and still haven't heard a peep. His wife told me it would be 9 months then, but I think that was optimistic. It took my friend 1 year to get hers.

Couldn't that phrase be used as some sort of emphatic statement, thus, not rendering it a question? :-?
