I see there were some updates since I posted.

One cool thing about whistles is that cost does not equate to quality. I have a number of more expensive whistles, but often grab a Freeman or Feadog for the pack. Given your recent remarks, you might want to consider a Bb or A whistle that will not carry as far. A Freeman Bb or A would carry easily in one of my PVC tube cases.
