I have searched but only become more confused.
My hands are small(ish) and I have arthritis in my right hand. I’m looking for ideas in the $300-500 range price wise.
Suggestions from folks with similar experience?
Thanks, Dave

I see the post is about 3 weeks old but since you didn’t get any replies…
Similar problem here, my glove size is L but apparently I have small hands and narrow finger pads which made covering the larger holes difficult. I tried a PVC flute (don’t recommend), then a keyless Copley Delrin (great flute, but the hole sizes killed me on R1 and R2). I subsequently bought a Morneau keyless flute in maple, I think they currently sell for USD$400. Excellent flute, small hole size and suits my hand size well.
Good luck in your search!

Some makers will offset holes to make the stretch easier (Walt Sweet comes to mind). I, too, though, have smaller hands with narrow fingers, but I’m fine with Copley and even slightly larger hole sized flutes. It definitely helps to hold a flute before buying, but that’s often hard to do.

My short foot Baubet is beautifully comfortable in terms of reach. My Galeon Pratten is a stretch. It’s possible to stretch and train your hands, but I gravitate toward the Baubet more due to the each of reach and easy fill. I highly recommend Francois Baubets flutes. I’ve had two of them and they just keep getting better
They’re around $400 USD in total.and worth much more in terms of value
I have a Copley Delrin flute with close hole spacing and offset holes. It’s worked really well for me.
