Shortly I will be selling my Hunter B chanter. It’s a 4 key chanter, wooden top, w/boxwood mounts. Superb tuning, w/the easiest RH stretch on any B chanter. The chanter (built by Sam Lawrence) sounds very similar to Tommy Reck’s chanter on “Stone in the Field.”
This full set Seth Gallagher body in nickel-silver is unique. It has 4 drones (additional A-drone). It is reeded entirely in elder. The regs are reeded in spruce. The bass reg is a wrap-around. The entire kit is easy to play, and sounds orchestral. The A-drone is switch operated (so yes, there are 2 switches on board). The set has autographs on it that I’ve collected over the years from very well known pipers. The Gallagher bellows (w/quick-release connector) are also included.
The marriage of both the Hunter chanter and the Gallagher body is sonically sublime.
