FS - Copeland Hi-D Nickel and Hudson Wind

Well, I was going to sell my O’Brien Narrow Bore Brass too - but I can’t part with it.

Here’s a link to ebay listings:

Here’s pics of the Copeland and Hudson Wind I am selling.

And a link to my observations regarding the Hudson Wind:

Peace,

Is that an indented ring around the bell of the Copeland? My vintage 2000 nickel Copeland D has a plain bell. What year is this one?

Serial 3770, from March of 2006.

Anyone know how the volume of a
Hudson compares to that of a Sindt D?

I’m not sure why, but I’ve been asked in PM thrice for more detail on the Copeland. Probably because it’s not all in one place.

The Copeland is…
Key: Soprano D
Material: Nickel Silver
Vintage: March 2006
Serial #: 3770

Any more questions, ask away.

Thanks,

Does Santa Claus exist?

Anyone know how the volume of a
Hudson compares to that of a Sindt D?

Or anything else?

Keep in mind also that Michael Copeland can personally re-voice any of his existing whistles to your personal preferences, as his schedule allows.

For the person who buys Daniel’s whistles … probably.

I have heard of nickel and I have heard of silver, but not nickel silver.

I guess it is possible to alloy those two, but why?

More durable than silver alone. Often used for student Boehm flutes…

I’ve never heard a Sindt, but I can tell you that my Hudson is a bit louder than my O’brien Stowaway. It’s not a quiet whistle, it’s easily heard in medium sized session but it’s not as loud as a Susato. Hope that helps.

Nickel silver contains no silver. It is an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel used in musical instruments.

I don’t believe there is any silver in “nickel silver”. I believe it is an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel and is sometimes called German silver. It is silver only in color but is hard, takes a nice polish and resists corrosion well. If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to correct me.

I have one of Copeland’s nickel D’s and it is a very, very nice whistle.

I have owned five Copeland high D’s, only one has the ring at the bottom of the tube. It’s a brass whistle, nice touch though.

What you believe exists, does.

Well, unless beliefs are not reality.

In my reality I believe that beliefs are not reality.

Oh Hell! Ask an existentialist.

That’s what I thought.
