2 Burke Ds and a Copeland Low D for sale or trade

Hi –
I have a few of whistles collecting dust that would be glad of a new home. They’ve lost favor over time (the Burkes were my first high end instruments but I got a Sindt D and just never pick them up anymore). While I was waiting for the Copeland I picked up a wooden flute (then another, then another until I got a Hamilton). I play the flute daily and pick up the Copeland only because I hate to see such a beautiful instrument languish. Both brass instruments are unpolished.

The Burke’s are old style (no “O” ring, no bump on the tuning slide) Both wide bore, one composite and one brass:
$ 50 (or BO) each plus postage

The Copeland Low D comes with the cloth bag. It is serial number 2180. We could work out a trade for one of the following:

A high end wooden whistle of comparable value like a Thin Weasel or Abell
or
An M&E or Seery polymer flute
or
Best offer $300 or above (plus postage).

Please contact me with any questions. I’ll leave the Copeland open for a week to see what’s up. I’ll advise if someone takes the Burkes.

Thanks. (Sorry if it’s a little long)

Dan

The Burke brass is gone.

Dan,

Did you get my email about the Burke composite?

jim

Hi –

The Burke composite has been taken.

The Copeland is closed, too.

I expected to leave the Copeland open for awhile, but I didn’t quite expect the response that I received. I have been offered every item I listed as a trade possibility. I apologize to any one that was thinking about making an offer, but it only seems fair to trade with the first person that offered a particular item.

I’ll let all who made offers know what I’ve decided later today.

Thanks

Dan
