M and E 6 key

I was wondering aout the M and E 6 key ebonite. The price is reasonable. Would this be a good flute for playing classical etc. ? Is it loud enough for a session? What are its strong points?

The Ralph Sweet "Shannon" seems to be getting good reviews. Does it fall into the category of polymer flutes with a strong low d? Also does M and E still only make the smaller bore flute that has been around for a while?

I guess I was thinking of getting on list as a way to "get ready" to buy a dream flute. would have a chance to put some money down, have something to look forward to, and save for the remainder. I remember when my parents would save for something big at Sears Store as a "layaway"...
