All good advice, but here's mine.

I love my Tipple Eb, better than my D.

It's a nice flute, looks good, sounds better, and is just that tiny bit smaller that it doesn't seem to matter that it's cylindrical. You can spend more, but why?

practical advice, Doug! :)

My main flutes are both 3 piece (really, 5 pieces!) and I line up the tone holes anyway.

I don't have a preference according to how many pieces the flute breaks down to. But I have to agree with the smaller case idea.

My father sold me his car, a Ford Fairlane, for $100 back in the day.... I loved that car and drove it into the ground. I have been juggling cars with my sons for awhile now. We used the '91 Dodge minivan until it just about fell apart, no son of mine had trouble feeling "uncool" driving i...

Michael is my true love. I aspire to play just like him, but am sadly lacking thus far.
But I am a patient person.

And I am spending far less time on these forums and far more time practicing my "one" flute, as has been recommended umpteen times in the past.

Look out

And if you are baking a quiche with a ready-made pie crust, don't forget to take the paper liner out of the pie shell first....

We have a Sun Conure, and although we love Buddy (or are "stuck with him", depending on the mood of the day) I wouldn't recommend a pet bird for most people. I usually admire anyone who is willing to share their home with a bird whose beak is dangerous enough to chop off a finger, however....

This will show my age, but I hitchhiked across the country several times, back in the early 70's, sometimes alone, sometimes with other hitchers that I met along the way. I love America. Good times. That was a different day and age though, that's for sure. I wouldn't recommend it now for anyone. Gre...

I worked all day, but had planned ahead... I baked the pies before I left in the morning, and got the turkey ready to put into the oven at the appointed time. Each of my four sons was assigned a side dish to prepare. My husband bought the rolls. I made the gravy when I got home. The boys took pictur...

Re: Trip to Neenagh

I think Trip... is tricky tune. The C pedal points and the low notes make the tune challenging. I don't play it quite the way Sean Ryan wrote it but he's a fiddler anyways. At any rate, here's the way I hear it: Trip to Neenagh Played on a 6-key Olwell cocus Nicholson model with medium holes. Oh, h...

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh......... Nice.

Like I said,
