Re: Help!!! Is there something wrong here?
Ok, here is the update. The valve on the blow pipe looks like it (was) is a an O shaped piece of leather with a tab. The tab appears to have been glued to the pipe stem and the O is at a right angle covering the opening. It appears that the leather separated the O from the tab. The tab was still att...

Re: Help!!! Is there something wrong here?
FWIW..
The bag is a "wee piper"
from memory. I don't remember seeing any flap/ valve on the (plastic) pipe that connects from the bellows to the bag.

Re: Help!!! Is there something wrong here?
THANK YOU! I will check that tonight. I knew something was off But, just could not figure out where. And just to clarify.. The valve should inside of the bag. I am guessing it is in the (plastic part) where the tube connects. I should be able to just reach a finger in and flip it down to cover the i...

Help!!! Is there something wrong here?
Hi all, need a bit of help. A long time ago I picked up a UP of Boston practice set. Not surprisingly, I quickly got incredibly frustrated trying to wrestle the octopus and put it aside. Now a couple of years later, I seem to have forgotten all the humiliation that it inflicted on me and trying to g...

feeler, Uileann of Boston Practice set
All, I have a practice set of Uileann of Boston. Chanter (D), bellows, bag. I have not been able to figure this thing out at all. I feel like I am trying to wrestle an octopus, and the sound is somewhat like torturing a fisher cat.. I paid @ 900 for the set and it is in VG condition. Looking for off...

Copeland High D.. possibly available in Mass
All, I have been out of the loop for quite a while. And I have a Copeland that has been going unloved. I bought it a while back directly from Copeland. it is a brass high D. New condition. I have been seeing a lot of different pricing on these and I just don't know what is realistic. I may put it on...

Re: Hayden system vs. standard English?
For what it's worth (which is not a lot)... I started out on the Anglo. Picked up a stagi duet, tried it for a bit and traded it for a jackie (English). I found the duet to be the least intuitive of the bunch. IMO it will be a longer learning time to get up and running on the duet than others. But w...
