Re: Game of Thrones

I stumbled upon this video not too long ago. It is what GoT would look like if it was made in the 90's.

Casey Burns Folk Flute. That's a good flute for a beginner to a seasoned player.

McGoldrick's flute

I recently heard that McGoldrick and Egan have both switched to Stephane Morvan's flute. Can anyone verify this? I know Morvan also has a somewhat new style of flute, mixing sort of both models together. Has anyone tried the new Morvan version? Thanks!

looking for my old bellows

Hey guys. About a year or so ago, I sold my bellows on this forum, and messages are now gone. I can't remember who I sold them to. They were made by Jonathan MacWarner, and they had wool on them. I would love to buy them back for full price if the person who bought them is reading this. I know it is...

WTB: Lunasa Book

Hey guys. My Lunasa book was stolen from me a couple of years ago, and I want it back. It is "The Music" 1996-2001 one with the red cover, and it is fairly small. If anyone has one for sale that they are willing to part with, please let me know.

Re: Why do people hate the Titanic theme?

To answer the OP's question, the tune has become commercially cheesy. Too many people think that is what Irish music is about. When you get too many requests to play it at a session, you will start to hate that tune. It's kind of like Danny Boy/Londonderry Air. It is a beautiful melody and song, but...

WTB: Aebi 2011 R&R flute

I am looking for a keyless Aebi 2011 R&R. If you are interested in letting go of one, shoot me a post. I am not sure how much they are new, but I have around 1000-1100$, and might be able to do more.

Plant or die!

It reminds me of that old slogan "Vote or die".

Re: Piper's Grip Difficulties

I second the stretching. It is just like guitar or other instruments where it can be an uncomfortable stretch at first, but it does get easier and better.
