I played a friend's keyed delrin Baubet and it was a joy. It had low blocks and I could use piper's grip. I got a great bang off it.

I think you'd couldn't go wrong with one of Jay's flutes. I met Jay about 15 years ago when he still lived in AZ and didn't even play the flute. I remember sitting with him in some sessions when he was just getting started playing. Very nice fellow who picked up the instrument and the music quickly....
