Thank Goodness, and thank you! There is a wealth of info on here, and easily searched for, against the other forms available!

Well done whoever fixed it.

Collect every 'bore' - diameter - of knitting needle, and use them inserted up the bore, to measure the diameter you wish to replicate, and thereafter guide you to insert a drill of '...', etc, etc. Recording insertion length, as changes ...

Re: Hand Stitched Bellows?

I have used escutcheon pins, 1.8 mm X 15 mm. Mind you, my source is a rather old-fashioned hardware come cook shop. Not at all sure they could be found in the large multiple builders' supply stores.

Re: Chinese cane

Reflecting on the other responses, the uniformity of the tubes I obtained, a) I am wondering if the interior has been dressed to remove material, and 2) the colour and texture of the exterior might suggest some other but related spp. to A.donax. A further reed was made, and the head did not crack in...

Re: Chinese cane

I got hold of some recently. The tubes very clean, a little shorter than previous sources, but uniform, and with a somewhat small wall thickness; straight tubes and grain. approx. 130 mm X 24 mm and 3mm wall. Wasn't as soft as I expected or hoped, but carved well, if a little tough. I had given up o...

Courses for horses then .... Regs .. On the former I have fallen off every time I mounted one - some time within seconds, the latter it has taken me some considerable invention to reach them even. Persistent perseverance early on, and with all things uilleann, start slowly, and by increments. A well...

From the man himself some years ago.

staple 50 mm O/D 4 mm I/D 3.2

Head 12 mm X 26 mm not incl. of tails.

I have some measures from Fergmaune, but I will let him reply, unless he happens not to.

Best of luck

Re: Easy ABC

 I thank you Mr. Grunby, for it was you who put me on to it, and very good it is indeed. I tried again just now, with success, off the list of all the abc software available you put me on to. I first went via The Easy ABC website, which was rejected earlier. Thanks for replying again; always h...

Easy ABC

I was kindly put on to this software some years ago. Having had to buy a new machine and reload, the antivirus stops the download. Shame, it was really good. Any other software suitable without this problem available, used and given the thumbs up?

Re: Liam O'Flynn in Paris 2003 - help needed for access to French mediatheque portal

Me too.

Yeah, that is a shame. I was able to get a sample of a tune, but not the whole piece, and not the tune I selected. Great sound quality though. My french is not adequate enough to find a way of logging in, etc.

Fingers crossed some french member here can resolve the matter...
