Re: LONG F nat vs Ring F nat Key?

for me it depends whether your pinkie finger is hanging down or is naturally at a higher position at rest, I can't play a straight F key , too awkward to get the pinkie into position. http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a419/redrockcanyon/Image2.jpg http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a419/redrockca...

2 of the earliest piping albums I ever bought and much loved.
Mr Gumby should bring out a solo piping album, I've been listening to a recording of him I made at Listowel a couple of years ago, lovely stuff

Re: C-nat jumps

Quite often it is down to experience, can't say for sure without trying it but in my experience of teaching, just as a few previous comments have already said, it is often a pressure problem, squeezing too hard on the bag and or bellows. Re: The whole kit and caboodle, how's it done

Here's a video that gives a good view of Padraig McGovern's right thumb when he's playing. The real action is when he finishes the air (anyone know the name of it?) and goes on to the march (The Fairy Troupe). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeBc2BsDUqA One of the commenters calls the air, "Ca...
