At this time, we do not make a rudall bore flute. The flutes that we make are all pratton bore. Just small or regular holes. We do make a model that has an extra joint in it which some people call a Rudall style but it is in reality a 5 piece pratton bore flute. We are working on a new site so pleas...

Des Seery makes a small hole flute that fits in children's hands quite well. Also, if you get one and it is to big for her, you can send it back and get a full refund minus the postage fee. So your risk isn't that much at all. Delrin flutes are great for kids for multiple reasons. One of which is th...

Demon,

I have emailed you about the Delrin in Orange a few times. I have located it for you and am waiting on you to give me the go ahead and make it. Check your emails and let me know. I was only able to find one piece of Orange Delrin long enough to make a flute.

There are different types of Acetyl as well. You have Copolymers and Homopolymers. And with in thoses, there are sub-types. Thats not including color but just compositions. Acetyls arguably do make better instruments. The price for the material is far greater than PVC or CPVC, And it is harder to ma...

No two hand made flutes are the same, even by the same maker. If anyone tells you other wise, they are incorrect. They can be close but never the exactly the same. It takes a few months to get used to any one flute. You can get an idea of what it is like by trying it out but thats it. If I were you,...

If you get a chance to be any where near Bray, I would certainly stop in and see Des Seery, he makes great flutes made from Wood or Delrin. He will make you an awsome keyed flute for less than most other makers and he stands behind his instruments 110% I have played both wooden and Delrin from Seery...

A good thing about Olive wood is that it doesn't tend to crack as much as black wood although it is not a hard. It makes a very nice tone especially in whistles as well as flutes. Finding a source that has the blanks large enough to make a flute is a challenge. Seery does offer flutes in Olive. If y...

Glenn Watson Flutes

I was recently talking to someone and they suggested that I look into a flute maker named Glenn Watson. I have tried to find reviews on his flutes but cannot find any. Does anyone have any personal experience with his flutes or does anyone know anything about them?
