Re: WhOAD and getting slagged by Dr SS
That's quite a haul, Davy! I've gathered up whistles in lots of keys, what with having played with singers for so many years, but not a lot of whistles. From memory I've got: Ab Goldie. A Goldie, tweaked Freeman, Mack Hoover Bb aluminium Burke, 1990s Generation redtop. B aluminium Burke. C composite...

Re: Question about Fred Morrison UPs
It's not quite on-topic, but I've played the Dave Williams set belonging to John Morran that Fred played for a while (approx 2003 to 2005) before he acquired his own set. Fred plays his Williams set, of course, but he often plays his FM McCallum set as well. As I've known Fred a long time, I was abl...

Re: Low F Whistle
Low F Susato whistles would be worth considering. I've had one for 22 years and it's all the Low F I've ever needed.

FS - Michael Grinter Low D whistle
I'm considering selling my Low D Grinter whistle. It was made in 2001; I believe it's cocobolo but don't quote me on it. As you would expect from Mike, it's fabulous. As I hardly ever play it anymore, either in sessions or on stage, I'm thinking of buying a cheaper instrument and putting some money ...

FS Seery Eb whistle
I have a high Eb made by Desi Seery in 2001 which I rarely use. It's a louder than average whistle, made of Delrin, with a short beak rather like an Abell. Tuning is good, although for Cnat you need to either half-hole or play OXOOOO. Some provenance - it was used on the recording of "The Rovin...

FS Eamonn Cotter 4 keyed flute SOLD
I have a blackwood Eamonn Cotter flute, made in 2004, with Cnat, Bb, G#, and short Fnat keys. It has a one piece centre section. I have the original case. It's a lovely flute which has been used for sessions, gigs and recordings, kept well oiled, rings and keys regularly polished, cling film on the ...

Re: Colin Goldie D
Hi Gary
Colin's phone number is on his website. Any time I'm looking for him, I give him a call. His website only shows prices for 2-piece whistles, but he'll be able to tell you if he'll make you a non-tuneable one or not.

James Dominic Music UPVC low whistles
Hi All Looking for advice, please. A friend has just emailed me to ask if I'd any experience of James Dominic Music's UPVC low whistles. Personally, I've never heard of them. A quick search here doesn't throw anything up. There's a website, but there's only so much you can learn from a website. My f...
