FS Casey Burns Folk Flute SOLD
African Blackwood. Keyless D Folk Flute made by Casey Burns in 2018 I believe. I've had it for a few years and it's served me quite well but I'm doing some cleaning house and I don't play it as much as I'd like, so it's on to a new home. Sounds great and is in excellent condition. Cleaned and oiled ...

Re: busking in Ireland
I just spent about a month traveling around Ireland playing tenor banjo and whistle and did a fair bit of busking in Galway and Killarny, both to decent success. There was one fella busking with a half set on Shop st and whilst he didn't seem to be making a ton of cash, was having a good time and th...

Re: Cillian O'Briain ?
I was going to say, I stopped by his workshop about a month ago and he told me he was going to be taking a step back from making pipes to focus on augmenting whistles more full time. Idk if it's truly going to happen but if so I would imagine that would make getting his tweaked whistles a fair bit e...

Re: Easiest 2nd Octave Whistle
I'd agree with a few of the posters above about Killarney's. I've got 2 high D's, a C and a Bb and all three of them have been very smooth and easy to play 2nd octaves, the D's even up to 3rd high D without much effort. I've got a couple of Parks whistles as well that I've had no issue consistently ...
