SOLD: Somers Delrin Pratten
Keyless and in mint condition. Every time I pick up the flute or low whistle, the dogs start howling. The missus has made it clear that the dogs win.
Selling it for 300, which will include shipping in the US.

FS: MK PRO Low D Whistle ($250)
I'm selling my MK Pro Low D whistle. Matte Black. I'll say it's near mint (I can't find a single thing that's not mint on it). I keep my instruments in great shape.
250 USD to anybody in the US. International will need to pay postage in addition.
Thanks
Scheky

FS: Morse Albion (English) Concertina
37 key (because that's what they come in) Morse Albion (English) concertina for sale. It's in mint condition. My hands just can't play anymore (arthritis has taken its toll). It's a great concertina and I'm going to miss it. Hopefully it will bring enjoyment to somebody else. I'm looking for 1500 US...

Re: Just got a Sindt D
Mostly I like a bit more breathyness in my whistle for a high D. The Dixon Trad is just a little bit too much in that respect for me, but the Mellow Dog fits about exactly what I'm looking for. What do they have in common? Wide Bore more than anything else. Narrow Bores are a bit too pure in voice f...

Re: Just got a Sindt D
I've stated it before. I think the Sindt is a fine whistle. When I realized I was playing my Dixon Trad more often and liked the sound of it more, I decided to sell mine. Honestly, I've never missed it. I'd hold up a Blackbird or Mellow Dog to it any day as a nice comparison (I've never played one o...

Re: Gary Somers Pratten
I bought the Pratten on a whim from Doc's site (as I was stocking up on some low whistles) and it may get me back into flute playing. It's a very easy blower and the sound is great. Honestly, it sounds better than I should sound, considering my embochure still needs a lot of work (working on one han...

Re: E or Eb whistle and whistle usefulness rankings.
I've owned a lot of whistles in my time. Quite a lot of that has been high-end. Over the years, I've shaved down my collection to what I really play. I just sent an order to Jerry to try out his whistles in the keys I'm actually interested in. I think that leaves a low C as the only key I'm missing ...
