FS: Eamonn Cotter Keyless Flute in D SOLD
I bought this Eamonn Cotter flute in 2021 from the original owner. The flute is roughly 4 years old. It is a Pratten style flute with a lined head, with a full tone, in blackwood. The original hard case from Cotter is included. The flute is in excellent playing condition. I recently oiled it with al...

Re: Sending chanter from USA to Europe - 2 questions
I shipping some piping stuff to Europe a handful of years ago, including a chanter, and I also encountered taxes against the insured amount. That aspect made it especially difficult, either someone had to cover the taxes or I had to risk shipping without insurance. I don't know how the reeds survive...

WTB: Delrin Flute in D (keyless or keyed)
After playing gigs in tons of places with variable temps and humidity, looking for a delrin flute in D. I would consider just about any maker, but top of mind are: Copley, Ward, McGee, etc. Not interested in M&E due to the weight (I owned one years ago). Ideally in the USA for cheaper shipping, ...

WTB: Uilleann Bb chanter or set
Posting again to see if anyone is looking to sell an Uilleann Bb chanter or set. My budget has expanded a bit since last time I posted, looking up spend up to around $1500 on a chanter, more for a set. Alternatively, looking for recommendations on makers without crazy wait lists who actively make Bb...

WTB: Uilleann pipes with compact/smaller drones
There are a few items I occasionally post looking for, one is a set of Uilleann pipes with compact drones. Looking for a set for pub gigs and other smaller venues. I'd be interesting in hearing about anything from just drones to a full set. Concert pitch, doesn't need working reeds, could generally ...

Re: Vanishing Bass Regulators
A couple of the local pipers are often seen out with 3/4 sets. I still sport the bass reg, though the reed needs work, so the reg sits empty. Have any uilleann makers offered shuttle drones? They're the most compact of all, a shuttle only around 8 inches long could do all three drones. Christopher B...

Re: Kevin Crawford's Irish Flute Technique Course on OAIM
Agreed about the quality of videos on OAIM. I've been working through Kevin Crawford's flute videos and Mikie Smyth's piping videos. Both are great. I've also watched one of Niall Keegan's flute videos, and it covered a ton of fairly advanced technique quickly, which was awesome. Eventually I'll che...

FS: Smallpipes in A by Robert Felsburg SOLD
I’m the second owner of these smallpipes by Robert Felsburg and only played them a few times since purchasing them a few years. From what I was told, I don’t think the previous owner played them much either. The set still looks unused. While preparing the set for sale recently, I found that the reed...

Re: Embouchure suggestions on fife / piccolo
I enjoyed reading that update :P. You have many many great options in the S1000K range, both used and fresh from a maker. If you're still wanting to give yourself time to see if the flute is for you, the Copley option mention is a great one. Last year I finally picked up one of the Copley delrin flu...
