Whistle Keys
I tend to like the C a lot. It might be a combination of the whistle I play it with, a Busman recieved in Birdseye Maple last fall that both plays and "looks" well. The 2nd part of the combination is that I play by ear, and when playing keyboard tend to "white key" everything in ...

A fine new Busman
My January is looking up! I received a new Busman from Paul in D. Last fall I ordered a C and it was in a really incredible Birdseye Maple that had one of the most unusual patterns I have ever seen. It is a fine player, making it easy for a neophyte like me to play well. Voicing is great and even, a...

Your welcome
Your welcome Phil. Have a safe and productive visit in Aus and NZ. Thanks for the info about asking at Tony's site. I have been looking in on his site quite often. I even like his - gasp - Quena playing. The man is a real master. I'll "line up" a couple important questions for him. At my p...

Aluminum Whistles - Soft Soap Antibacterial
While we are on the cleansing subject so to speak - thought I'd pass on something I've found. I purchased a Cheftain G used. When I received it, it had some marks on the body as well as a little light black streaks. I used a jewelry cloth and got more marks - the aluminum removed the black tarnish f...

Re: PRO-FILES
Are you finding the PRO-FILES helpful? Chief Wanganui is PRO-FILING the 3 Feadog high Ds on friday. Phil. Phil - I am one of those new players that listens/lurks a lot in the shadows. I have an awful lot to learn - the point of why I have particularly found your Pro Files so helpful. Before they we...

Best wishes for a Speedy Recovery
Glad to hear that it went so well. I'm sure with you at her side the discomfort will soon subside. Glad if our messsages have been of help. You remain a favorite contributor and a fine whistle maker. A great help to me due to both of those contributions. And a heck of a nice guy on top of all that. ...

Finally, as a little favor, I'll ask each person on the tour to send me a picture postcard of their town/city, or other local attraction along with their comments on the whistle. They should look great on the walls of my shop! OK - so you want I should send a card of the.... famous Parker Carousel,...

I'd like to be on the tour, too, especially with a delrin whistle. There's a bit of ocean between me and most anybody else (except one), but USPS priority usually gets things back and forth in reasonable time. Keith - when I mailed the Susato Low D to you from Kansas I was surprised how reasonable ...

Great Idea
I'd like to be on it if for no other reason than to get the opportunity to see how close a Delrin would play to my Kingwood D or Birdseye Maple C. I am hopelessly hooked on wood, but would relish the chance to "gauge" the differences or similarities. I carry my O'Brien's E,Eb,D,C,A set in ...

What a pleasant blending of musical instruments. Who would have thought the whistle could sound so nicely with organ? You have brought our instument to a new height surely.

We in corporate America deal with many fewer than 140 Executives everyday that ACT like 14 Year olds. And we're all going - well yo...

Susato wth key
The one I had fitted was perfect. It sealed each and every time. The spring was very light but seemed to have just enough strength to push it up fast. I sold it because I was able to get a Kerry Low D to play. There is no comparison in the ease of reaching the Lower hole. The Susato with the key is ...
