Re: Flute music recommendations
If you like Harry Bradley's stuff you might enjoy Michael Clarkson, mighty playing. The two of them did a duet album https://thesession.org/recordings/3424 which I've never heard and unfortunately it is apparently out of print, but you can hear a track at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXCRYCyCglg ...

Re: First piping school: How much is too much
The oddest workshop was the one with a big-name player who never played a note, never had any of the students play a note, but instead gave us an hour-long lecture about how everybody plays wrong and practices wrong. He was absolutely correct. I'm guessing that he had had one too many workshops whe...

Re: Uilleann pipes case question
(A quick follow-up to add to the collective body of potential case information) I've ended up with a fly rod case for now: https://www.amazon.com/Fishing-Reel-Combo-Bag-Free/dp/B01AKKLDDC/ref=sr_1_1?s=hunting-fishing&ie=UTF8&qid=1492463351&sr=1-1&keywords=Fly+Fishing+Rod+and+Reel+Com...

Re: Strange feature on my new whistle
Does it happen in multiple locations? Sometimes the room I'm in seems to cause a specific note to reverberate exactly the right way to cause me discomfort. E.g. if I sit on my couch and play in the living room, no problem, but if I move over to the top of the stairs and walk up a scale, the 2nd octa...

Re: Uilleann pipes case question
This thread is quite helpful. Two quick questions for those of you using archery/rifle/shotgun cases: 1) did you retain the foam/egg carton padding or strip it out? and 2). are you carrying the bellows in the case? The ones I've looked at seem to have OD widths of 3-4 inches, which seems too narrow ...

There are four nice (and nicely annotated) tracks at Bro. Steve's whistle pages:

Re: Has Harry Bradley's "The Errant Elbow" site gone away?
No harm, Nano. As kmag points out, the information is relevant to both forums, and moving it has made it visible to both, so it's probably for the best. I just had a laugh envisioning a secret tribunal meeting in the dark of night, fiercely debating the proper forum placement for an ambiguous post. ...

Re: Has Harry Bradley's "The Errant Elbow" site gone away?
Hey, that's great! Thanks for the heads-up, myles. I had stopped checking. I'd love to see Harry put new material up, but in the meantime it's still nice to be able to access what he does have - completely unaccompanied stuff from a great player like this is both fun to listen to and really helpful ...
