WTB: Forbes delrin flute DONE

Looking for a Rob Forbes, preferably inline holes or offset left hand OK. Anyone have one they'd like to sell? I'm thinking of buying new but would like to save a bit of money if possible.

Thanks!

Re: FS: Beautiful Paddy Ward 6-key boxwood

Hi All, Finally back in town and had a chance to snap some rough tunes on the flute, as well as some more pics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU9FPalCoRQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUjfYsw3ltg http://s29.postimg.org/osx5o10yv/20140219_113032.jpg http://s28.postimg.org/v17er4zh9/20140219_11305...

Re: FS: Beautiful Paddy Ward 6-key boxwood

Here are two images showing the discoloration on the headjoint and the modification that Paddy made to the embouchure. We left the modification unstained so I could try it out for a while first. I liked the change and didn't ever send it back for touch-up: http://s15.postimg.org/sftazassr/20140211_1...

Re: FS: Beautiful Paddy Ward 6-key boxwood

Yeah, it is a beaut. Sorry I forgot to mention, Loren, it's the Hawkes model. He didn't tell me exactly how much he changed the embouchure. This is what he said about the modification: "I tweaked the embouchure and have opened up the sound a little. There is still some resistance which gives it...

FS: Beautiful Paddy Ward 6-key boxwood

Hi All, I am posting my gorgeous Paddy Ward boxwood flute for sale. It's a great instrument and it is only being sold for financial reasons. The best pics of it are the ones that Paddy already took when the flute was completed. Those can be seen on his website under the "Boxwood" section: ...

FS: McGee blackwood piccolo (SOLD)

Hello All, I'm selling a narrow bore (11mm) Terry McGee blackwood piccolo in D with a C-nat thumbhole. I purchased this during JessieK's house-funding sale a while back ( http://forums.chiffandfipple.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=59098 ). It's a great instrument, but I need to make room. More fun for ...

Re: Let Molloy play!

Thank, David, great clip! I also like the couple seconds of what I like to think of as heavy metal whistle soloing at 17:31. :)

That was my first flute album back in 2000, Akiba. It was great inspiration!

Re: ¿Flute Players playing Like Pipers?

I've always wondered how authoritative that statement that Matt Molloy "introduced" cranning to the flute is (no disrespect intended and I'm not saying he didn't!). It sounds like one of those casual statements that an academic or a radio presenter just comes out with without having done ...

There's any number of commercial packages that will let one mess with the tune/tone of notes. There's even one that will let you pick out a note from within a chord and change it. Wanna try that E as Em? No problem! Here's the one that can do that. It's an interesting read regardless: http://www.ce...

It looks to me like the engine was written by the author. Maybe we could put in a feature request to utilize either his or Tartini in the future..

Wow, that looks pretty amazing, Francesco. Thanks for compiling the screenshots. Do you think that when they get as far as V1.0, they might make it a bit easier to try out. I'll admit to being daunted! Terry Hopefully! I haven't heard back from the author yet regarding a Cygwin compilation error an...

Nice video. :) To make it easier, I'd suggest installing ALL of Cygwin, rather than trying to pick out about 100 different packages individually. And, on my Cygwin install, I had to add '--x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include' and '--x-lib=/usr/X11R6/lib' to the ./configure line he mentions in the docs. I ...
