When I play my bodhran I have trouble gripping after awhile and the tipper starts to slip from my hand. Anyone have any tips as to what I can do help this? Are there grips I can slip onto the tipper? Thanks.

Its a shame as I always looked forward to watching the Rosie O'Donnell show back in the day but then she started to open her mouth about politics and I stopped listening to her. She's slowly but surely losing her audience...not to mention her career. She has a right to her own opinions but she doesn...

Irish Band at Wedding...but what about Dancing?
Okay so I absolutely love traditional Irish music as does my future husband and plan on having the band, Crumac, play at our wedding reception, July 7th. Although I am familiar with many Irish tunes (and also play the whistle) I know absolutely nothing on dancing when it comes to dancing to Irish mu...

Tune Names (or name) in Sea Image
On the Best of the Chieftains album, what is the tune name in Sea Image? I can't tell if it is a variation of different tunes or just one tune.
Thank you!

Whistle Block-Today has been a bad day...
Is it just me or do you have your good and bad days when playing your whistle? I have gotten down the Exile's Jig and in the excitement of getting down all the notes, I played it over and over again yesterday...almost flawlessly. I was craving to play that tune today at work but, alas, when I get ho...

The Kilfernora Set
Hey All!
I was just curious as to what tunes are being played in the Kilfernora Set played by the Chieftains.
Thank you!

Fiddle Help: Bought a Beginner's one off of Ebay won't play
I have never touched a string instrument so this hte first time i have handled a violin...have no clue how to get started. I bought it for my sister so she can start learning trad tunes. But it isn't playing at all. Being someone who isn't a master at the string instrument how do you actually make s...

So What Makes Ceili Music Ceili Music?
The topic title speaks for itself. I have grown especially fond of Ceili music and have been searching on the internet for Ceili bands. But what sets Ceili music apart from any trad Irish music? I have looked for a website that explains Ceili music and how it is distinguished from other forms of tra...
