Howdy, I'm curious if there's some DIY means of measuring the bore of an uilleann pipe chanter, aside from plunking down $$ for a tool...?

This was part of a half set, whose drones were sold to another forum member some years back. The bell is missing its ferrule, sadly.. I had been keeping it with the chanter so as not to lose it, but alas... I don't know where it ended up. It comes with a playing reed, and I know of nothing else wron...
