Keith Prowse 8 key for sale from netherlands
This Keith Prowse , very dear to my heart and sorry to see it go, is looking for a new home. I rescued it from evilbay and had it fully restored by Jon Cornia of Cochran flutes. He can vouch for the sound and so can Peri Holguin. Reason for sale is that I am planning to move to UK and mainly play wh...

Re: equalizer app recommendations?
IOS has very limited qualizer controls, to my opinion.
what I am looking for is a visible equalizer wherer you can see what frequencies are being used while music is playing….
IOS doesn't offer this……you can only lower or rise the bass, midrange or trebles or use the pre-sets.

keith, prowse (insurance value?)
I own one of the (according to terry mcgee) rare keith, prowse flutes.
if I were to insure it, what value would I need to put on it? I have no clue.

Re: Hole size vs. stretch
I have owned and played both. am a woman with average hands and I found the tipple hand wise harder to hold/ cover holes than the dixon. maybe a forum member has a dixon three piece for sale. its nice to have and even to keep for travel etc. or save up a bit longer … its not that expensive…..you're ...

Re: The Irish Flute Store Has a New Owner
Doc thanks for the great service in the past.
Surely you will still hang around.
And no doubt Blayne will be the best to give as great a service as you did before him.
Blayne, I wish you all the luck in the world with that it was a nice surprise today to see you're the new owner1

Re: New flutes for the smaller stretch ideas anyone?
are you REALLY having small hands at all? you could save yourself some money, you know. did you know that kids in ireland are given full size flutes to play and have no problems with that at fleadhs? have you measured your hands spread? if its smaller than 7 or 7,5 inches you do have small hands. ha...

Re: Nicholson grip
interesting topic. its something I am grappling with, too. do you guys also turn out the right hand part like nicholson did? I do....think I almost center-line up the closest to me outer edge of right hand finger holes with the top finger holes. if that makes sense. find this more easy to relax my r...

Re: Question about Aebi Rudalls
flute used to be mine.
has fully lined head indeed though tom and I had discussed when I placed order whether that was what I wanted.
he thinks fully lined is more suited for ITM and louder too.
opinions of course vary.
