Something I might add... Uilleann Pipes are a unique instrument to themselves. Satisfaction of this addiction can only be acheived by actually playing the pipes. Recently, a few new mouth-blown instruments have appeared that can give you Uilleann fingering practice. These instruments CAN be a good l...

Rather than discussing if Uilleann Pipes made in Pakistan are worth the money or not... It's usually suggested to find a full-time pipemaker relatively close by. I'm suggesting you contact Canadian pipemaker Neil O'Grady. http://home.thezone.net/~pipes/index.htm His pipes are moderately priced, and ...

Files 3 & 5 played perfectly, looks like the other ones are missing, this is from the menu 'downloads' selection. Steve, is your browser JavaScript enabled? Aside from the missing files the rest of the website plays well. The graphics are smooth and the overall layout is uncluttered. Navagation ...

Steve,
It's not that big of a deal to be so specific as to what type of music Arkenstone plays. He has more than 20 CD's out now and the range of style varies from song to song. Yeah, some if it gets sleepy, they all can't be winners.

You can find David Arkenstone's CD's in the New Age section. I would think it's safe to say he plays Celtic music... does some of that qualify as Irish music? Kinda.
You might want to give him a listen.

Lolly, I'm thinking 'New Age' description is too far off for Fling. They would still be in the Irish Music catagory perhaps modern Irish instead of Traditional Irish Music. Keep in mind that the Fling members reside in the Netherlands. There might be some other musical influences present... whatever...

Since they do have a flute player in the group, posting the URL in the flute forum shouldn't be a problem... the problem is trying to leave the computer when the music is playing !! I'm partial to Uilleann Pipes and can't get get enough of 'Return to Clifden' ...

Teri,
Let me know if the larger files present a bandwidth problem. I have plenty of space on a commercially hosted website or... you can store the files (and link to them) on a free site like Geocities or Angelfire.

Brian, I've had this happen to music saved on non-stereo mp3's and it's annoying not to be able to play it. I was forced to convert the file and change it's properties to high-bandwidth stereo then convert it back to mp3 format. In your case you might just want to play the .wav format without the mu...

Hey guys... better check your settings as I can either play the files through my browser (Netscape) using the Quicktime plug-in or right click, saving the file and playing it through Windows Media Player, Quicktime or Winamp. Either way... the music is exceptional and if I were the jealous type I'd ...
