Re: Availability of VPipes

Hi Steve, I think a better analogy would be the monkey in Aesop's Fables. He got caught because his fist was jammed too tight in the food jar. His instincts would not allow him to do the obvious thing - let go of the food - until it was too late, and so his fate was sealed. And on that note I am con...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Thanks again Rory for your input. There have been over 6,500 reads of this thread to date, which would indicate that the members are interested in how it plays out. But, if it helps, I will offer a simple shortcut towards a conclusion. If Mr Castro posts screenshots of the returned emails to me, the...

Re: Availability of VPipes

I signed in this morning with the intention of thanking the members who read this thread thousands of times and announce that after 7 months of effort and their combined weight, my refund has finally turned up. And what do I find – a tirade of abuse and a whole new scenario about how the delay happe...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Thanks Stew for the heads up re digital chanters. My project was for a school band (teenage) situation where tuning is crucial, so adjusting
individual notes would be a huge benefit. I will look it up.

Re: Availability of VPipes

Only the facts.

Here is a link to a tweet in 2011. The piper did not post on here but he did tweet out about his experience..

Re: Availability of VPipes

As the banks close their doors, 4 days after the supposed express transfer, there is no sign of my refund. Can't really say I am surprised. For me, as a supporter of the pipes and pipers for over 40 years, the saddest part about all of this is that, because we are a private forum, no potential buyer...

Re: Availability of VPipes

True.
But I just checked with my bank and they told me the details Mr Castro asked for are insufficient to
perform an international transfer. No money has left his account.
Than could make things take longer than a few days.

Re: Availability of VPipes

More of the same.
No refund received.
This guy is unbelievable - in every sense of the meaning.

Re: Availability of VPipes

This farce has gone on long enough. Let's end it now. For some bizarre reason Mr Castro, claims he cannot send me a refund until I come on C&F and publicaly announce who I am – even though he has all of my details. There is absolutely no logic to that but I am no longer going to play his games. ...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Well, well, well, some things are predictable. Last night I took the advice of Mr Gumby and the Moderator. This thread had gone too deep into detail – a sense of fatigue had set in for the readers. So I decided to send my future messages privately. Last night I sent Mr Castro a private email telling...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Hi Mr Castro, thank you for the very long post. I will reply in detail at a later date, but as you said you want a quick solution let me make some suggestions. You say you have two customers in my timeframe who paid money to you but failed to get pipes from you. So, let's assume for now it is only t...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Thanks again for the post awildman. I would count myself amongst the people who appreciate craft and understand you might have to wait for it. There are dozens of potential hold-ups along the way to making a full set of pipes. And that's before you get to the dark arts of reed-making. God knows how ...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Thanks awildman for the post. Unfortunately on the Vpipes website, in the Payments section, the credit card option is no longer working and the Paypal option is not working. The only way to pay was by bank transfer. That should have made me suspicious. But I was blinded by the fact the company had be...

Re: Availability of VPipes

Thank you kkrell for the technical information. I don't see how the status of my emails could have changed from 'all being accepted' to 'all being rejected' in an instant but, even if Mr Castro did not receive them, where is the invoice for the balance of the cost price that was promised in January?...
