Zub - the original person to come up with the "dihydrogen monoxide" ban was a high school student doing research for a science fair. His point was that you could "phrase" anything in such a way that people (and even PhD's in science) would sign petitions to "ban" it. Mo...

before having to go "back" to paid employment, I did a lot of volunteer work at CREW (the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Wildlife) at the Cincinnati Zoo. The premis of CREW is to have genetic "material" - be that embryos or plant tissue - frozen until such a time that you ...

we get into this argument all the time in the dulcimer groups - and I'm sure you get it with every instrument! "Is it better to read music / TAB / notation or play by ear?" My answer is "yes". First and foremost - do whatever is right for you. If you feel comfortable playing a sh...

Ideally, your domain name should be the name of your business, one word run together or with underscore if more than one word. If you don't have a name for your business, you could use your own name (you are gonna get spam anyway if you have your email up for contact purposes).

thanks for all the recommendations so far - a little more information..... I do have a Bb whistle, but want to play along with songs in the keys of D, Em, G or A (I also have a G, but it sounds like a dog whistle to me!) I've tried a low whistle (specifically a D), and my hands are just TOO small to...

Looking for a "warmer" sounding whistle.

Ok - I know this is totally subjective, but....... I have a Walton's Little Black and a Generation, both in D (and both "tweaked", as least as far as having the mouth piece movable to get them in tune). But they both sound "tinny" to me. Ok, ok, I KNOW it's a tin whistle, but I'd...

I don't know about the cat food - but for dog food - you are talking about creatures that eat things like rotten vegetables off mulch piles, duck droppings, etc. Why bother with flavors at all???? :D The flavor for MOST pet foods is done to appeal to the humans serving it, not to the actual animal. ...

we patterned our version off of the "Juggernaut Jug Band" from Louisville, KY. (I play it in Em). In between the verses (after the call back part) I interspers short dulcimer riffs - "Ghost Riders in the Sky", "Wild Thing", Innagaddavida", and "Stairway to Hea...

one of the women chiming in here....... Agree it's what you grew up around, NOT what you "learned" in school. I went to parochial (Catholic) school till 12th grade - and my highschool was all girls. I took the "college prep" tract, with heavy emphasis in science (took ALL the sci...

cranberry - the University of Cincinnati used to have a 2 year Vet. Tech. program (first year was at a suburban branch - Raymond Walters). My AS was in Science Tech from there - but the first year we all took the same classes (as well as the Environmental Techs, RN's, and dental hygene). Do a search...
