Re: Lawrence v Hunter
No stamps at all so no real way of knowing I don't believe. My half set (well the drones at least) are dated 2000 and Sam stated that would have been Peter. If you have a set in question Sam has always responded quickly to my emails/questions.

Howard Low D Black Silk WITHDRAWN
Howard Low D in black silk (so black, but with the brass showing a bit around the finger holes). Unsure which head it has on it - it would be the default head prior to offering 3 different head types (maybe balanced?).
$130 shipped.

WTB: High D, Low D Whistles DONE
In my search for "the" whistle (ha!) I'd like to pick up some High D and/or Low D options in that middle tier to try and see what else is out there. I'd like to try a Killarney (or similar), Dixon (trad, dx204, dx006), and/or Humphrey High Ds. I have a preference for brass but it's a 'mild...

I believe Appcordians Uilleann is the recommended midi pack for Android - it's available here and there's a drone/regulator pack as well.

Re: Eoin Ó Riabhaigh: When the ancient uilleann pipes meet modern 3D printing
“I prepare the wood for the chanter and the other parts of the pipes, it's all seasoned timber that's been pre-drilled and allowed to acclimate for maybe a year or two years, depending on the application. Some of the processes are computer-controlled, and I've drawn the pipes up as 3D models, and I...

Re: Chanter reeds from CP
I purchased one of Cesar's reeds for my Hunter chanter. He had it on my doorstep ~3 days after I sent paypal and it arrived pretty bang-on. He will let you know whether he has reeded a chanter from your maker before. I believe he turns out a number of reeds for a maker at a time so he may or may not...

Thanks to both of you for the resources! I just plugged my meager tune list into irishtune.info - that seems super cool. And I'll probably pick that book up if I can't find a library copy.

Practice Regime
All right, just hoping to get some input on structuring practice a bit more. I can usually squeeze 20-40 minutes of practice time in a day (some days longer, maybe miss 1 day a week) so just trying to maximize. I usually have a couple of tunes I'm working on so I will try to give them a listen befor...

CITES, Ivory, and trying to upgrade a half set
I have a nice Peter Hunter half set that I picked up used (in the US) and have been learning on and enjoying for the past little while. A year and a half (or so) ago I went ahead and put down a deposit with Sam Lawrence with the idea that I could get regulators added when my time came up in the queu...

Re: Thread for joints
NPU stocks both linen and hemp thread.
Ted Anderson used to have two weights of hemp thread along with all of his other reed and piping supplies (I believe he supplied NPU with hemp) - but it looks like his website is down so I don't know if he is still selling stuff.
