Just received Vol. III of Mary Bergin’s Irish Tin Whistle Tutorial, Advanced to Professional Level!
I ordered it through her website maryberginwhistle.com.
Lots of work ahead.

Note: Burke High D whistles come in Narrow, Session and Wide bores.

Got this email from Mary today:
“ Hello Jack,
I know you are waiting ages for vol 3.
My part is done but I’m waiting for the graphics to come back to me for the final proof reading etc.. I have been promised that I will have it very early in the New Year.

I’ll keep you posted,”

Used it at Swannanoa this year with Seán. Pretty basic at the beginning but gets into breathing, phrasing and articulation in a way most tutors omit. Techniques are illustrated with a wide range of tune types. Excellent Mp3s of all tunes available for free download. I learned a lot!

I am still working on it and it is coming along well.
