Re: Case to repurpose to hold low D and a few other whistles
I use a carpenter's saw bag. I bought mine from Bucket Boss many years ago, but they don't seem to make that one any more.

FS: Hans Bracker A and G
hi I have Hans Bracker A and a G aluminium whistles, each with R-hand thumbhole for the sharp 7th. About 10-12 years old, I'd guess, and hardly used. Beautiful rich tone, nicely in tune, and well-made. But I couldn't get used to the thumbhole, so I've hardly played them. He's no longer making, and h...

Re: Identifying whistle
It was made by Brad Anderson of NSW, in Black Mulga wood, and I bought it in May 2008. I found the documentation, exactly where it was supposed to be - the last place I looked, of course

Identifying whistle
hi
I have an Australian whistle in a native timber, stamped with a capital A and below what look like crossed chilli peppers; the same design appears on the wooden box it came with. I bought it 12-15 years ago, or more.
I had the maker's advice on looking after it, but I don't know where it is.

I bought an Overton A from Bernard Overton in 1973. I still have it.

Very slow, and slower since Brexit. I've been waiting 4 weeks for a parcel from Italy.

Re: Unusual / Rare Instruments
Oleoresonator beat me to it. The extended foot would make the wooden floor a resonator and enrich the bass. I often put my mountain dulcimers on a table for the same result.

Re: Humphrey D+ Whistle Questions
Ah well, I was sure it was a Dixon. I wonder if I have a receipt anywhere... I did have a Silkstone d at one point, but gave it away. I found the tone a bit harsh for my taste.

Re: Humphrey D+ Whistle Questions
Hi
I bought it somewhere around the mid-noughties, I guess.
It's numbered "9" on the back of the head, and is made in Delrin.
It was quite expensive IIRC, at around £200. I don't think he made many of them.
