Re: Opinions about delrin flutes with a very good sound

I have a delrin RR perfected from Terry McGee that is lovely, I travel with it and use it when playing in iffy places where weather or inebriated people could be an issue. Doesn't set off any alarms going through customs, and sits out all the time, so is the one I play most. Couldn't be happier.

Re: Terry McGee

Glad you're still kicking, Terry! I'll hit 69 in a few months, seems to be a good age. Lost a few pounds last year too, but seem to have gained most of them back this year! Ah well...

Re: Ordered my first keyed flute!

Hammy has a nice case that can be altered to fit keys, very solid and flute specific.

Re: Help me! I am going to an auction of several wooden flutes

What he said, but #44 might be of interest to a collector, probably an "alto" flute of some sort.

Re: Stands that fit wooden flutes?

I use the Hercules stand with piccolo pegs, then put a piece of latex tubing over each to fatten and slightly extend them, and to keep the bore from getting gouged. Always lay them down at sessions.

Re: Visiting Ireland - where can I try & buy wooden flutes?

I believe that Des Seery is in Bray, a little south of Dublin, pretty easy on the train.
