I had a Murray 8 key in boxwood. I wouldn't say banana but definitely took a bit of a curve in winter. I have never had any sort of issue with blackwood.

I really only play music around my house. last year I played those Christmas tunes at a fundraiser but that's it. Music has been a hobby but ive been wanting to record nd share some of my stuff lately. Your comments are encouraging!

Can I post a song I wrote?

To whom it may concern,

Ive been a member hear for a while and I rust wrote and released a song and I want to share it. Only problem is that it isn't a traditional Irish tune, is more country. If im allowed to post it im not sure where.

I have found closer is better 3" or so but be sure your embouchure is not blowing into the mic. If you are further away you can pic up key and finger sounds. That's my experience. I can send you a link to some of my recordings if it helps.

You can get a silver flute to sound a lot like a wooden one. I made a recording on a silver flute and some people thought it was a wooden flute. Embouchure cut is different and you need a slightly different technique. I have also heard the opposite, a wooden flute that I would have thought was silve...
