FS: Carbony high D whistle

Aloha, I'm selling a great Carbony high D whistle (standard bore) in a perfect condition. It's a fantastic player, easy to blow, well in tune and extremely responsive. Its featherweight and modern look don't hurt either;) I'm selling this because I don't play high whistles too often - it better find...

Re: Low G Whistle reccomendation

Goldie - volume and backpressure
Burke - clarity and consistency
McManus - volume, timbre, look?
Lofgren - probably the best aluminium mezzo G on the market - the only maker that doesn't make a G whistle from an A (narrow) or an F (wide) tube, but has its own diameter.

Re: A good high D for loud sessions

Thank you Richard! Maybe the sessions here are not THAT loud, but they are usually in very loud places, dozens of people screaming, laughing and singing. Nothing wrong with that, people don't know about some session etiquette here, they just come to have fun and enjoy live music in the background. I...

Re: A good high D for loud sessions

You're tempting, Sedi... I'm thinking of getting that too. Richard, yes, I had both aluminium and brass SB Burkes, they were still too quiet for sessions in Wroclaw, Poland. The brass had much better tone IMO, but it's C was terrible (I know about OXXXOX fingering, usually works, but it's more diffi...

A good high D for loud sessions

Hello guys! I'm looking for a good high D whistle that will be well-heard at some louder sessions. I know there are opinions that typical soprano whistles can be heard fine, especially by the audience. Maybe, but I don't hear myself playing with banjos, fiddles and these goddamn accordions. I wear e...

Re: MK low E

Richard, I also tested 2 Albas low E whistles. They were one of the best aluminium whistles I have ever played and I played about a hundred of whistles. Yes, their bore is narrower, but they still carry their tone, stability and "playability" just as well as low D whistles. I also had a Go...

MK low E

Hi folks!

Did you know that there is an MK low E available now?

I'm very excited and if anyone tests it - I'll be grateful for a short review.

I wonder if it has the same diameter as D.

Re: What is the name of this tune?

Thank you guys! It's a nice, cheesy tune, that every grandmother will love and give you 20 bucks for ice cream. It doesn't hurt that it's in one octave - you won't get evicted! All the best!
