I thought Mack was out of the whistle making business for the time being. Am I wrong? :) The good news for all of us is that Mack is still making whistles. Go to his website at http://home.attbi.com/~mackhoover/ I think he just limits his orders a bit. These whistles are well worth the money (and a...

By the way, Mack, I am thinking of writing you a poem about the Whitecap. Still the sweetest toned whistle I've heard. Walden, I'll second that! I love my Whitecap. It is the easiest whistle to play that I have ever seen and the tone is beautiful. Mack really is the best and a pleasure to deal with...

O.k. - Don't laugh. I take a clip mic and clip it to the brim of a base ball cap. The mic sits about 3 to 4 inches above the fipple. I look stupid - but it sounds good.

I went in to a music store and found a Clarke in C. I went to the manager and asked if they had it D, because all I had seen was the whistle in C.

He said, "We have a whistle in C?" :boggle:

Anybody out there got a Serpent Music Village Smithy. http://www.serpentmusic.com/villagesmithy.html It looks like it could be kinda fun and a major conversation starter. What do they sound like? I have to admit the idea of running over a whistle with your car and it remaining unhurt and in tune is ...

Very nice. Nothing sounds like a dulcimer. My sister played for a while - I never understood why she stopped. It is a beautiful sound. It would make a great duet with a whistle. Maybe in the future you can add a track. Whit+ <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: revwhit on 2003-02-17 10:06 ]</...
