That's a name I hadn't heard for a while.

A couple of years ago , I purchased a combo low D whistle/flute from him. I think it was made from PVC pipe. So, it was cylindrical bore.

I don't know what he's up to now.

Loren,

I knew there was something about cocus, i.e., some people are allergic to it. You certainly have a good reason for selling it, and I hope you get a good offer.

Loren,

Why don't you put it on eBay with a $3,000 reserve. It'll be interesting to watch the bidding. Worst case someone buys it, and otherwise you out the eBay fees, but still have the Olwell :D

A Boehm flute, then I should have referred you to the fingering chart on the following web site.

http://www.wfg.woodwind.org/

You should try to get a couple of lessons, somehow, to get you started correctly. Then, lots of practice.

Meant to add, I just sold a 4 key LeHart, and just got a Burns' 6 keyed Rudall and unkeyed Pratten flute, with unkeyed joints for the Rudall flute. Casey Burns and Skip Healy have short waits for keyed flutes, and there's always the used market.

There's the octave, and the OCTAVE :) Check out Terry McGee's fingering chart for second and third octave fingerings. The second octave starts on D, the fourth line of the musical staff. http://www.mcgee-flutes.com/keyless.html So, what kind of a flute are you getting in 8 days, and how do you know ...

Rod Cameron is selling a new copy of a Rudall Rose. http://www.cs.jhu.edu/~scott/flutemakers/rod-pricelist.html I owned one of his baroque flutes, and his workmanship is superb. Get on Olwell's waiting list, and buy a flute with good re-sale value to use while you wait. Then, sell for a profit, or l...

Ron,

Undercutting is generally a good thing.

Check the following web pages (flute factory tour 2 & 3 ) for a graphic explanation.
