Re: Easiest / Cheapest recording software...
Yes, it was completely shutting down at 32", both tracks stopped. I'm assuming you mean 32 beats. Have you tried making the click track go for a longer period of time? Playing around with it now, all other tracks automatically stop when the click track stops. You can change the number of bars ...

Does the click track only go for 32 seconds?Akiba wrote:I've already run into a problem, though: when I recorded with a click track, it would stop recording at 32 seconds. Do I have to change the cache or another setting to stop this glitch from happening?

Any tips for fixing a "dud" flute?
So a friend of mine handed me three flutes to fix that she had gotten off of ebay (thinking it would be safe as it was supposedly from the UK, but no such luck). She got two Bb fifes, and a low D flute, all keyless, Pakistani firewood. First thing I did with them all was sand down the bore, make sur...

Re: Best fiddle strings for tuning down to B
I agree with just tuning down a semitone, and playing tunes in C, F, etc. instead. However, on the topic of strings to tune down, your best bet is probably too choose the highest tension string you can find, and tune them down. I don't have first-hand experience with this sort of thing, but I have t...

93% Legolas. That's great because he's probably my favorite character. Funny how that works. 70% Frodo as well.

Re: Consulting the Roast Chicken Oracle
A while back, my sister made a roast turkey, and I think she used orange in it somehow. However she did smother the whole thing in bacon. :D Easily the best turkey I had ever had in my life. It was juicy and flavorful. Gone in a heart-beat, and we normally have leftovers that end up being eaten for ...

I was watching those in particular because they hadn't popped up here (less competition), and I need a set of bellows. It's all good though.bobkeenan wrote:No one picked up on my Vignoles Bellows. Works great... about 4 years old but only used the last year. Used Daily for the last year.

Re: Periodic rant about English
Another thought: We may actually be seeing more of an age gap than a regionalism. I seen ( ) quite a few people (< 25yrs) across the country misuse those words/phrases, including "seen" vs. "saw".

Re: Periodic rant about English
Some of the ones that drive me nuts are these: "Like, ..." "I mean, ..." (I'm the culprit for this one sometimes...) And my personal favorite: "That's ironic!" Sometimes I wonder if schools actually teach what "irony" really is. A few lesser misused words we g...

Re: Knots, how many can you tie?
No monkey's fist!?!? Well, I'll have to fix that... Monkey's Fist, bowline (one and two handed), figure 8, square knot, granny knot (does that count? :) ), sheet bend, two half hitches, taught line, timber hitch, clove hitch, slip knot, ... erm... I think I'm missing one or two... I used to know the...
