It's great fun in D, and was always one of my favorites. A little tougher in A, but not too hard if you're well practiced.

The tag on the bellows says "T. Crowley, 10 Merchants Quay, Cork," (and other things.) FWIW, you know, "T Crowley, Cork, " etc. Just sayin'. Not exactly "not very useful," and certainly not worthless.

Your pipe maker might inform you that your tenor regulator wasn't designed to play a D.

I remember hearing Tim Britton playing up to f via some fingering combination of half tones. No idea how he did it though.
