Re: Pictures of Your Pipes

Hello all! This is a 3D model of my narrow bore D half set of pipes made by Sam Lawrence. I hope you enjoy it! I've been training people in UK NW heritage museums and institutions on how to build digital 3D models for research and public engagement. I thought I would do my pipes as a demonstration. ...

Re: Pipe Bag Recommendations

Definitely Kelleher traditional! The bag and bellows I got with my set quickly became very leaky (deflated in <10 seconds from leaks), so I replaced them with a Kelleher traditional standard bag and bellows and they are amazing! The bag and bellows I bought from them are still completely solid after...

Re: Kelleher bags - which shape

Yeah I've got to say whatever the shape Kelleher bags (and bellows) are amazing! Their leather is amazing and stopped the bad habits I'd picked up with my first (very leaky) bag and bellows. They were also amazingly helpful, professional and extremely friendly! I would immediately recommend them to ...

Re: Overcoming Recording problems

I got over it by recording everything, all the time! (though my recording is to check for very basic technique stuff, not to give to people) It's a real pain in the Áras an Uachtaráin... at first and I don't listen to any of it really, but now when I want to record something specific it doesn't real...

Felix Doran Fox hunt

I think as this is part of BBC radio it can be accessed internationally.

Here's Felix Doran playing the Fox hunt starting at around 18.50. I thought it was good gas!

Pipers in Cornell/Ithaca area?

Hello, I'm moving to Cornell for 5-6 months and I was wondering if there's anyone in that area? or does anyone know any pipers in the area? Unfortunately I'll miss the Catskills week (I arrive just afterwards) but I've heard Catskills near enough (in US concept of distances hahaha) to Cornell. I'll ...

budget music rooms in Paris?

hello! I've just begun learning (2 weeks!) with a new Dave Shaw practice set and it's going great! I'm in Paris now though and the problem is I live in a room that's around 9m2 in the top of an old french building. I didn't quite realised I would be living in such a tiny place when I order the pipes...
