Re: Bellows style with no need for seasoning ever

If Dow bellows were too bulky for you, you can always order his smaller and lighter version. I am not sure about the % of difference. Maybe someone else can comment on this. And the 90 degree connector issue you can solve with something like this https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/1334896-tigre-4...

Re: Hand Stitched Bellows?

Thanks everyone for the input. I asked this question, since I love the look of stiched bellows, but cost might be prohibitive, for the purpose it has. and I'm not one for glueing on the gusset and then using a staple gun. I thought gluing before tacks helps to make bellows more airtight. ...Tacked b...

Hand Stitched Bellows?

Just curious if there are any other pros of hand stitched bellows besides the look and ability to use the clappers again, when making new gusset? Thanks.

Seasoning Bellows with Hardie's Airtight - anyone in EU ?

Is there some pipemaker or piper in Europe with good experience and knowledge about bellows seasoning with Hardie's Airtight? The maker who made the bellows actualy seasoned them with Airtight soon after he made them and suggested to me the seasoning again, since it apparently dried out and that's p...

Re: John McSherry's Patreon

Thanks for help. I will sign up for John's program as soon possible. I always loved his piping style anyway.

But back to my main question: can I join a month or two later since I don't have the time right now?

Re: John McSherry's Patreon

Hi, Anyone who tried it already? Can I join a month or two later since I don't have time right now??? (I gues if it is by prerecorded videos, the date of start wouldn't matter???) Can anyone comment what is the difference if we compare it to the AIM Online Academy of Irish Music https://www.oaim.ie/...

Re: Synthetic uilleann bags: Rogge vs Vinyl

Hopefully someone more experienced will give you better answers, but here's my 2 cents. I owned this Rogge bag 10 years ago. It is smaller size, thin and lightweight material but tight when full. I don't think it is goretex??? but some sort of nylon from Ross :-? Mybe somebody can enlighten me here,...

Re: PM Opinion: J. Kennedy bellows vs A. Rogge and L. Thomps

My vote is for the Lawrence Thompson bellows. They are very comfortable and efficient.I'll post some pictures when I get home. Thanks for that. It'll be nice to see it finaly. But I heard he makes few shapes/designs: O'Briain style, Williams style ect. Which one you recommend? but the new design is...

Re: PM Opinion: J. Kennedy bellows vs A. Rogge and L. Thomps

Thanks for reply! Kennedy a fantastic maker all round but the bellows might be union style This is actualy something I prefer aesthetically, the shape, proportions and naked look of Joe's bellows. Comfort is actualy not something I am concerned (even if I mistakenly wrote this word in my post - what...

PM Opinion: J. Kennedy bellows vs A. Rogge and L. Thompson

Hello, I am on the market for bellows. I have a chance to own classic looking Joe Kennedy metal hinge bellows. But also I have 2 other options in my mind (ordering new style Rogge bellows - very tempting or praised bellows by L. Thompson). My goal is one: to have very responsive and efficient bellow...

Younger pipers playing Furey/Mcsherry/Spillane style?

Hello, I'm looking for some names of younger pipers who can very closely emulate the playing of Finbar Furey, John Mcsherry and Davy Spillane.

THANK YOU.
