Re: A question of taste

See previous page. Sigh. I honestly thought this meme was done. Hmmm... I missed that link previously. No, the meme is far from done. Kids are still talking about the song on a faily regular basis, especially on Friday. :D I'm curious to see if it becomes a cultural icon in spite of itself...

Re: A question of taste

Rebecca Black "Friday" has been a hot topic in the classroom, so I use it as a "Current Events" segment to launch into other areas of discussion.

I just now found this live acoustic performance, thought I would share:

And let's not forget about tounging articulation. :D Would that be "tongued articulation/tonguing"? (Couldn't get my tongue around how you spelt it! ) Yes, my apologies... I was typing quickly at work and didn't have spell checker. <Even after all these years, I still strugg...

Kerry Whistles are selling off their plastic headed Low D at the moment for a mere £35.00 http://www.kerrywhistles.com/store.php Can't go wrong for that price and it's a very nice whistle This is a great recommendation for low price, decent instrument, small hands. <I own a Kerry low D> I would NOT...

Re: Advice please - about purchasing Uilleann Pipes

Where can I go for a decent set? How long will it take to get them? (as ideally, I'd like to get them as soon as possible.) What is it likely to cost, and what's usually involved re. deposits etc.? Any help will be very gratefully received... I am NOT an experienced pipe player, but I thought I wou...

Well... in my opinion th...

Re: Classical Accent

Another thing you hear people do: play eight bars. Stop. Repeat eight bars. Stop. A traditional musician will always keep the tune flowing connecting the end of parts It's common enough today, with some people. That doesn't mean it's right or appropriate .
