Re: Hammy Hamilton Low Whistles

I contacted Hammy Hamilton, and he replied me very kindly, he seems to be a great man to deal with. I know his great reputation as a flute maker, so I'm very interested to see how his low-whistles play. Ok, I sweared I would not buy a new low whistle before receving my MK Low F (In march 2011 I hope...

Hammy Hamilton Low Whistles

Hello friends,

I wondered if some members tried the Hammy Hamilton Low-Whistles (D or Eb)? I intend to buy a HH Low Eb, cause it seems very nice, both in caftmanship and sound.

Some opinions? Thanks in advance!

Re: Low-whistles you own, and favorite ones in each key?

Thanks a lot for all those infos guys. My goal is to have Burkes in Low C, C#, Eb, E, F, F#, G, Ab, A, and Bb at some point. I heard very good things about the Burke, but I've never played it. Too bad, I love the flutey sound on whistles, like on the Copelands. I like very much the Eb key. I've got ...

Well, I'm on the waiting list for a red MK Low F. Misha told me recently it will be ready in march if everything is all right. I can't wait!

Low-whistles you own, and favorite ones in each key?

Well, OK, I presume there are 1853 topics asking the same thing, but, hmm, I'm a newbie (a french one), so I don't want to read the 526 pages! Ok, here we go: how much low-whistles do you own, which one and what are in your opinion the best low-whistles in each key, at least your favorite one...

Re: MK low F whistles in that beautiful blue!!!

Okay, they don't exist. But Misha is prone to making special runs of limited edition colours from time to time. I just got my MK low D in the most beautiful blue color recently. No low whistle beats his work, in my opinion. I'm on the waiting list for a Green low F (perhaps about March?), but I've ...

FS: Goldie's Overton Low F# (Non tuneable) & Susato Low G

Hello friends, I need to sell to 2 low-whistles, an Overton F# (non tuneable) made for me by Colin Goldie in 2002, and a Susato Low G. Both are in very good condition and are sold with the original bag. The Goldie will be sold with its original certificat of authenticity. Here are some pics. Susato ...

Re: Hello for test!

Welcome, Francois! Actually, I thought your English was quite good. It's certainly better than my French!. Fortunately, you don't hear me speaking english, Ithink my accent is a mix between indian accent and parisian accent! I'm curious about this classical Occidental music you mentioned. Cou...

Re: Hello for test!

Thanks for your kind words. And excuse me in advance for my bad english, I'm french you know! :D I've begun to play whistle because of the cheap price, but actually, it's not so cheap when you begin to buy some Overton's, Copeland's or O'Riordan's! :o And if someone want to sell a Copeland or O'Rior...

Hello for test!

Hello, I'm a french low-whistle player, and it's my first post on this great forum. Actually (and surpringsly!) I don't play Irish music or even "celtic" music at all: I played a bit when I begun (15 years ago), but I play Blues, Funk and improvised music. Well, I try to! :D I listen to bl...
